Antimicrobial function

MBC test method

【Evaluation method】
MBC (Minimum Bactericidal Concentration) is the minimum concentration of a drug required to kill bacteria. After contacting the bacteria with various concentrations of the antimicrobial agent, cultivate it and confirm the minimum concentration that bacterial growth is not observed.

【Evaluation criteria】
The smaller the minimum bactericidal concentration value, the higher the effect on microorganisms.

Film adhesion test method (JIS Z 2801: 2010)

【Evaluation method】

Film adhesion method is a method to check the number of bacteria on the surface of antimicrobial processed products (including intermediate products) such as plastic products, metal products, ceramics products.
This test method is specified in JIS Z 2801: 2010.

*The test method of textile products is specified separately in JIS L 1902: 2008. (Refer to the antimicrobial test method of textile products below)

【Evaluation criteria】

Antibacterial activity value
It is a value showing the difference in logarithm value of viable bacterial count obtained as a result of inoculating and culturing surface bacteria in tests of antibacterial processed products and non-processed products. When the antibacterial activity value of antibacterial processed product is 2.0 or more, it is judged to have antibacterial effect.

SBR Rubber Sheet

When adding Apasaida AK (0.3%, 0.5%, 1.0%) to the SBR rubber sheet, the antimicrobial activity value was S. aureus 4.1 and E. coli 6.1 by adding 0.3% or more.

Antimicrobial test method for textile products (JIS L1902: 2008)

【Evaluation method】
The antimicrobial test of textile products is a test method for the number of bacteria of products subjected to antibacterial deodorization processing or bacteriostatic processing (hereinafter collectively referred to as antibacterial processing) and is prescribed in JIS L 1902: 2008.
Antimicrobial and deodorant processing is processing that aims to control the growth of bacteria on the fiber and to exhibit a deodorizing effect.
Bacterial processing refers to processing aimed at suppressing the growth of bacteria on the fiber.

【Evaluation criteria】
Antimicrobial effect refers to the antibacterial effect observed by antibacterial processing. It is evaluated by bacteriostatic activity value and bactericidal activity value.
The bacteriostatic activity value is the value obtained by subtracting the difference in logarithmic value of the number of viable bacteria after culturing and immediately after inoculation of the antibacterial processed product, the antibacterial deodorized processed product, and the bactericidal activity value.

Bactericidal activity value

It is judged that the bactericidal activity value is 0 or more and it has antibacterial effect.

PET fiber

When APSAIDER AK (0.5%, 1.0%) was added to PET fiber, the bactericidal activity values were S. aureus 1.0, 0.9, E. coli 0.9, 0.7, respectively. This test is targeted for antibiotic textile products.
